Bengaluru: ‘Hindu Rashtra Adhiveshan’, a two-day convention was conducted by the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti on January 28 and 29 at the Gangamma Thimmaiah Inn and Convention centre here. “More than 500 visitors are expected to attend the convention,” said Mohan Gowda, State spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, before the meeting started.
The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti is a Hindu organisation functioning globally and essentially a supporter of right-wing ideology. The organisation’s goal is to create ‘Hindu Rashtra’ which is stated on their official website. The Hindu Rashtra Adhiveshan is an annual convention held in different parts of the country.
The convention aimed to discuss a few topics related to the Hindu community. The topics included temple protection, love jihad, halal jihad, Indian history distortion, protection of cows etc. Only registered visitors were allowed to attend the discussions. “At the end of the convention, a report will be prepared on the topics discussed and a few suggestions will be mentioned. A presentation will be given to the Government to take actions on the issues concerned,” Mohan Gowda told this correspondent.
The convention witnessed the presence of more than 300 delegates from all walks of life. The speakers included film-makers, authors, advocates, people from various spiritual organisations etc.
