Come along with your furry companion to the Therpup – A Dog Cafe. Established in 2017, this new-age café is located at Whitefield in Bengaluru. "The idea of this café came to me because of dogs that were my inspiration and continue to inspire me to do more for them," said Mr. Ankur Jain, the owner.
"Dogs are such an amazing creatures who deserves to be loved, socialized with, and have fun with. This place caters to dog-lovers and dog-parents," he added.
This dog café has 11 in-house pets, and people are also allowed to bring their pets. It not only provides food and beverages to the customers but also has a swimming pool and trampoline for dogs. Asked about the reason behind the name of the café, Mr. Jain said: "Therpup: Therapy + Pups = a therapeutic place where one can just enjoy the company of these lovely dogs". Since its beginning, the café has been popular among dog lovers. According to Mr. Jain and his colleague, their journey has been a rollercoaster ride and they believe it is going to be for a long time.
"It's a great initiative from the owner's side to start a café like this since it is the least a dog lover can do to reciprocate the love and loyalty of a dog towards him. Cafes like this will only help to make the world a bit better for such lovely companions," said Yash (name changed), a customer.
