Truffles is a popular hangout among youngsters in Bengaluru. Truffles have various branches in Koramangala, BEL road and St. Marks Road. This weekend for my restaurant review I chose Truffles on BEL Road close to M S Ramaiah College. Truffles is a good place to eat out with some of the mouthwatering delicacies: Pastas, Pastries, Pizzas, Paneer Tikka, Fiery Baby Corn being among their top sellers. Both Vegetarian and Non – Vegetarian dishes are available. The place is famous for its Continental and Mexican cuisine. I evaluate the place on the following grounds: food, service, ambience, taste and affordability. Students visit regularly after their college and it is a place not only for fun - some students come here for group studies!! Indeed, these kinds of places are usually best for the best memories of college years. The food here is always delicious. I am a regular visitor to the place and I especially love their Pasta Arabiata which is made of red sauce with sun-dried tomatoes. I also liked their chicken burgers which are very famous and must eat on any visit to Truffles. As part of Easter special Easter eggs and special theme cakes were on sale.
Service
The service at this restaurant was comparatively good and as soon as the customer takes the seat the waiter gives the menu card and takes order from the customer. The food is fresh, rich in taste and authentic. The waiters really valued our time and since it was a long weekend there was a huge crowd outside. Recently truffles have been extended in BEL Road and based on my personal experience the quality of the service has really progressed from what it was before. one major problem that the customers faced was there was no proper parking reserved for the restaurant.
Ambience
The ambience is good it is well maintained. There were few tables outside the restaurant. Initially this place was situated in a basement and it was hard for the customers to identify it easily. The Manager Eric Shimmery said “This new year we have extended Truffles in the first floor which is much bigger and better than in the basement. It has rectangular tables and it is either two or four-seater table and the one upstairs is a six-seater table. The entire place is filled with college students which makes it more lively”.Food – 8/10
